J2 Store
J2 Store is a simple shopping cart application for Joomla 2.5. You can get your online shop running within a few minutes with J2 Store.
J2Store integrates with the Article Manager. So you can easily convert your articles into products. i.e, J2 Store adds shopping cart feature to the Article Manager. When you create an article, you will see J2 Store params to add price, tax, product attributes. When you enter a price, user can see the Add to cart button in the front end and go through the purchase process as in the normal shopping cart software.
J2 Store is based on the popular K2 Store, which adds the Shopping cart feature to K2.
The Key Features of J2 Store
Product attributes/options
Most of the time, we need add product options, each option with a plus or minus of the base price. Now you can do it while adding an article itself.
You can set up as many attributes as possible and each attribute can have a number of options. You enter a price for a product option, which can be either Plus, Minus or Equal from the base price.
Tax, Shipping and Global Discount
You can add tax profiles from the J2Store backend. You can select one of the tax profiles while adding an article.
Similarly, we have included standard shipping methods – Fixed, Price based and quantity based. More shipping options are considered in the future versions of the J2Store.
You can also set a global discount (in percentage) in the parameters of the J2Store. The discount is calculated on the order value.
Payment Plugins
J2Store has been integrated with Paypal, Authorize.net, Ogone, SagePay and DIBS. An offline payment plugin is also included. The Payment plugings gives you the flexibility to offer just one payment method or multiple payment methods. These plugins can be installed via the default Joomla installer.
Currently J2Store comes bundled with Offline Payment Plugin. Other plugins can be purchased for a small price (USD 10 per plugin)
Orders Management
The J2 Store comes with an enhanced order management feature. The buyer can see his orders in the front end, print an invoice. A stylish default order detail page is presented to the buyer. You can however override this template by adding a template override.
In the back-end, the administrator can see all the orders made in their shopping cart and manage it. The admin can edit the order status. When the status is changed, the user gets a notification email with order details immediately.
Upon completion of the order, J2 Store sends an email automatically.
